Limited Hardware Warranty

Australian Consumer Law Statement 

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The Warranty 

Onethird Technology Pty Ltd (ACN: 682089176) ("Onethird") warrants that your SOMA hardware product ("the Product") will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of original delivery to you ("Warranty Period").

What is Covered 

This warranty covers the SOMA sensor array, the SERA-compatible control hub, and associated power cables. If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, Onethird will, at its sole option and to the extent permitted by law:

  • Repair the hardware defect at no charge using new or refurbished parts; or

  • Replace the Product with a new or refurbished unit of equivalent functionality.

What is Not Covered (Exclusions) 

This warranty does not apply to:

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Including but not limited to fabric pilling, fading, or minor cosmetic degradation.

  • Misuse and Abuse: Damage caused by liquid spills, fire, accidental impact, or use outside the "intended use" cases (e.g., using the product in non-standard bedding environments).

  • Unauthorised Modification: Any attempt to open the control hub or repair the sensors by anyone other than an authorised Onethird representative.

  • Hygiene and Contamination: Products affected by mould, pest infestation, or significant biological staining.

How to Make a Claim

To claim under this warranty, you must:

  1. Cease using the Product immediately upon discovering the defect.

  2. Contact Onethird at support@onethird.tech or via our Melbourne office (details below) with your proof of purchase (Kickstarter receipt/Order number) and a description of the fault.

  3. Follow our remote diagnostic and troubleshooting process.

  4. If the fault is confirmed, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and instructions for shipping.

Costs of Claiming

  • Within 14 Days (DOA): If the Product is faulty upon arrival, Onethird will bear all shipping costs.

  • Standard Warranty: For valid claims made after 14 days, the consumer is responsible for the cost of shipping the Product to Onethird’s Melbourne service center. Onethird will cover the cost of shipping the repaired/replaced Product back to the consumer.

Data Notice (Repair Warning) 

As the SOMA hardware integrates with the SERA model and stores localised sleep data, please be aware that the repair of the Product may result in the loss of any user-generated data.
